I know don pretty well. He got my dad into wrestling back in the late 70’s in Amarillo, Texas. They became a tag-team and went to Nashville,Tennesse. They wrestled as Ron and Don Garfield. They were heels(bad guys).
At one time they were tag-team champions defeating the team of Bobby Eaton and George Gulis. The match took place in Chattanooga. Don was like another father, if I did something wrong and my dad wasn’t around he would discipline me.
As for his age never really knew for sure. My dad said he was about 18 years older then him. My dad is 63, so around 81. He’s definitely in good shape.
He came from Germany and is very proud of his heritage. Likes Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Used to own a biker bar in Amarillo, Texas called the Knucklehead Saloon.
Loves to teach anyone that wants to learn wrestling, and a fact a lot of people wouldn’t know he is an artist. He can paint, draw anything, tattoo, and what fascinated me most was his ability to draw portraits. A man of his word, if he tells you a duck can pull a truck you better hook him up.

Thank you for being a part of my dad and I's lives.
