- Saraya-Jade Bevis was raised in Norwich, England. Her father and mother are notable wrestlers and promoters on the British wrestling scene under the names Ricky Knight and Sweet Saraya Knight respectively, and her brother, sister and half-brother also wrestle. She began learning to wrestle from her family from the age of 11 and made her debut in 2005, aged just 13, at a show run by her father. - She soon became a regular on the British independent scene under the name Britani Knight, first establishing herself in her mother's World Association of Wrestling promotion, where she first formed the Norfolk Dolls with childhood friend Melodi, holding the WAWW Tag Team Titles. - She also began to compete both with and against her mother Sweet Saraya on a regular basis, notably defeating her for the WAWW British Ladies Title in August 2009 and feuding with her over the HEW Women’s Title between 2009 and 2011, during which time Britani held the belt twice. - In 2011 she won a tournament to become the inaugural champion of the British all-female Pro Wrestling: EVE promotion, and captured her first title outside of the UK when she defeated Blue Nikita to become German Stampede Wrestling (GSW) Ladies champion. That year also saw her and her mother travel to the US to make their debuts for Shimmer: Women Athletes, teaming together as the Knight Dynasty [2]. Their partnership soon disintegrated when Saraya attacked Britani after she suffered multiple singles losses. This led to a No Disqualification Match on the Volume 44 Taping in October, with Britani victorious in what would be her final match for the promotion. - In September 2011 she signed a developmental contract with WWE. She made her debut at the company's Florida Championship Wrestling developmental territory under the name Saraya at a House Show in January 2012, before adopting the name Paige when she debuted on FCW television in March. She soon formed a brief alliance with Sofia Cortez and Raquel Díaz, known as the Anti-Diva Army. - When FCW was re-branded as NXT in September 2012, Paige embarked on an unbeaten streak. This lasted until February 2013, when she was defeated by Summer Rae, who had attacked Paige the previous month while serving as ring announcer. Their feud ended with a singles match in May, where Paige was victorious. In July she defeated Emma in the final of a tournament to crown the first ever NXT Women's Champion, and beat the Australian again to retain her title at NXT's first WWE Network special event, Arrival, in February 2014. She was forced to vacate the title in April due to her commitments on the main roster as WWE Divas Champion. - On April 7th 2014, the night after WrestleMania 30, Paige made her debut on the main WWE roster, challenging and defeating Divas champion AJ Lee for her title on Monday Night RAW, thus ending the, at the time, longest ever reign in the title's history. She was champion for nearly three months, before dropping the title to a returning AJ, who had been absent from television since losing the belt, on RAW in June. After forming an uneasy alliance (describing each other as 'frenemies'), Paige turned on AJ following a tag match in July, and captured the belt from her rival for a second time at SummerSlam the following month, before losing it again to AJ at Night of Champions in September. - In her attempts to recapture the WWE Divas Title, Paige briefly formed an alliance with Alicia Fox, but this came to a violent end in October, the night after Fox had failed to help Paige secure victory over AJ in the final title match of their feud at the Hell in a Cell PPV. Paige and Fox captained opposing teams in a 4-on-4 Elimination Match at Survivor Series in November, with Fox's team victorious. - In early 2015, Paige was involved in a feud with the Brie Bella and Nikki Bella. After teaming with Natalya in a loss to the Bellas at the Royal Rumble in January, and unsuccessfully challenging for Nikki’s Divas title at Fast Lane in February, Wrestlemania 31 in March saw Paige join forces with her former rival AJ to face their common enemy, and prevail over Brie and Nikki in a tag team match. Paige’s problems with the Bellas continued in the months following Wrestlemania, leading to her forming PCB with debuting NXT call-ups Charlotte and Becky Lynch in July. - Paige joined the cast of WWE and the E! Network’s reality TV series "Total Divas" for the second half of season 3 of the show, starting in January 2015.
