- Milena Roucka grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is of Czech and Costa Rican descent. She broke into modelling in her early 20s, most notably winning the Piel Dorada contest in 2004 and being named Hawaiian Tropic's 'Ms. Indy 500' in 2005.
- In the summer of 2006 she participated in
WWE's Diva Search contest, placing 4th, and was offered a developmental contract. She made her debut later in the year at the Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental territory under the name Roucka, acting as the valet for the heel stable Bad Kompany. She made her wrestling debut in early 2007 and captured the OVW Women's Title in September, commencing a long-running feud with Katie Lea that ended when Lea defeated Roucka for the title in February 2008, shortly before WWE ended its relationship with OVW.
- Roucka was transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling. She continued to appear regularly in the territory following her call-up to the main roster later in the year, going by her new ring name Rosa Mendes. In November 2010, Rosa defeated AJ to capture the Queen of FCW crown.
- She debuted on the main roster in November 2008, appearing on the RAW brand as an obsessed fan of Women's champion Beth Phoenix, who was eventually recruited by Phoenix's on-screen boyfriend Santino Marella as his and Beth's assistant. Rosa remained aligned with Phoenix throughout the first half of 2009, quietly breaking away from her in August, and briefly managing Carlito before she was transferred from RAW to ECW in October.
- Soon after switching brands, she became the manager and on-screen girlfriend of Zack Ryder, until being drafted to SmackDown without him in early 2010. That summer, Mendes attempted to align herself with Team Lay-Cool, attempting to impress them by demonstrating her stamina with a skipping rope and other exercise equipment. Team Lay-Cool repeatedly mocked and shunned her, leading to Mendes turning face for the first time and teaming with various other Divas in an on-off feud with with Layla and Michelle McCool throughout late 2010 and early 2011, before reverting to a heel role in May having spent two months off-screen.
- At the end of 2011 she began managing the Tag Team of Primo and Epico, an association which lasted throughout 2012 and into 2013. The trio briefly joined A.W.'s All Word Promotions stable in the summer of 2012, before he turned on them at No Way Out and aligned himself with the Prime Time Players [3]. Rosa's partnership with Primo and Epico ended a year later when Mendes spent several months away from the company due to personal issues and Primo and Epico were repackaged as Los Matadores.
- Rosa began appearing on television during the second half of 2013, now a full-time wrestler again after her stint as a valet, and in 2014 was added to the cast of WWE and the E! Network's reality show Total Divas. At the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in November she became the new valet and dance partner of the returning Fandango.
